 nShepherd's Cross\, an authentic working sheep farm and agritourism facili
 ty located just north of Claremore on Scenic Route 66\, invites the public
  to "Woolly Weekend." This premier "sheep to shawl" festival offers a rare
  opportunity to witness the complete lifecycle of natural fiber production
  in a family-friendly farm setting.\n\nAt the heart of the event is the "S
 heep to Shawl" demonstration. Visitors can watch as sheep are shorn throug
 hout the day\, followed immediately by processing that very fiber. Over th
 e course of the weekend\, artisans will comb\, spin\, weave\, knit\, croch
 et\, and felt the raw wool into at least two finished shawls.\n\n"It is ra
 re to find a true sheep to shawl experience\," says the team at Shepherd's
  Cross. "We want to invite the community to see the journey of wool from t
 he back of a sheep to a finished masterpiece."\n\nEvent Highlights:\n\n  L
 ive Shearing & Demonstrations: Witness professional shearing and wool proc
 essing inside the historic Amish-built tour barn.\n  Educational Opportuni
 ties: Short Course Fiber Classes are available for those interested in lea
 rning drop spindling\, hand carding\, needle felting\, or weaving.\n  Fami
 ly Fun: Children can enjoy a petting barn\, the interactive Farm Museum\, 
 a four-story observation silo\, and hands-on activities including games an
 d a coloring contest.\n  The Farm Store/Farmer’s Market Hub: Browse hand
 made crafts from over 90 local artisans\, mission-based goods from around 
 the world\, and Animal Welfare Approved farm-fresh meats.\n\nWoolly Weeken
 d is hosted by Heart of the Shepherd\, a non-profit Christian organization
  dedicated to teaching agricultural principles. The event is free to the p
 ublic\, though a donation of $5 per person is suggested to support the mis
 sion.\n\nShepherd’s Cross is a "Made in Oklahoma" company and an Agritou
 rism destination. As an Animal Welfare Approved farm\, it provides excelle
