Azalea Festival

Join us for the annual Azalea Festival at Honor Heights Park! Since 1968, our beautiful 40-acre park has showcased over 30,000 azaleas in 625 varieties. Throughout April, come and experience one of the top events in the South as we celebrate the blooming of azaleas, tulips, dogwoods, and wisteria.

Often considered one of the nation's top spring events, Muskogee's Azalea Festival attracts visitors from around the world. Enjoy a scenic drive along paved roadways winding through blooming flowers, or explore walkways perfect for runners and birdwatchers. The park also features five lakes, picturesque ponds, a butterfly sanctuary, and a tree arboretum.

Beyond the stunning natural beauty, the Azalea Festival offers a vibrant schedule of activities:
* A colorful parade with floats, antique cars, clowns, pageant queens, horseback riders, and cyclists
* A variety of food vendors
* Carriage rides through the blooms
* Chili cook-off
* Quilt exhibits
* Arts and craft displays
* 5K, 15K, and fun runs

In mid-April, don't miss "Party in the Park," a tasting of Oklahoma food and wine set amidst thousands of blooming tulips under tents.
