Trail of Tears Art ShowVisit Cherokee Nation proudly presents the 55th Annual Trail of Tears Art Show! Experience one of the country’s most prestigious Native art shows. View and purchase a variety of authentic, award-winning works of art. The Trail of Tears Art Show is the longest-running juried Native art competition in Oklahoma. Since 1972, it has fostered the artistic expression of Native American heritage.

Our featured artist, Jerry Sutton, took Best of Show in 2025 for his painting “ᎩᎳᎪᎨ Gilagoge (Spring).” A painter, photographer and flute maker, Sutton views the traditions, evolving cultural history and endangered natural heritage of Cherokees through a contemporary lens.
